Bill Bondar

Head of Debit, Prepaid & Emerging Payments, PNC Bank

William (Bill) H. Bondar, Head of Debit, Prepaid & Emerging Payments, leads the PNC Bank payments product lines. Bondar’s team is actively focused on creating the best customer experience for the PNC’s Retail Bank payments customers. Bill has played a key role in the thought leadership, development and execution of critical strategies for the Retail Bank including its successful implementation of EMV, brand and network optimization and most recently, national expansion. Bondar frequently contributes and speaks on core banking topics ranging from retail banking, payments, lending and fraud management within venues such as the EMV Forum, US Payments Forum, Card Forum, Money 2020 and others. Bondar joined PNC Bank in 2011 and has held several leadership positions aimed at maximizing product development, program management and innovation and payments. As a recognized banking industry veteran, Bill has served nearly two decades in executive positions at Key Bank in Cleveland, Ohio and PNC Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bondar pursued his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Cincinnati and holds an Executive M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.  He also serves as a Leadership Fellow of Leadership Cleveland in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.  Today, Bill lives in Avon Lake, Ohio with his wonderful wife Margo and his two amazing daughters, Brynn and Kendall.
