
Eric Reese
President / CEO, Bytemark
Eric Reese is the President & Chief Executive Officer of Bytemark, a Siemens Company and a member of the Board. He was appointed to this role effective January 1, 2020. Eric joined Bytemark in July of 2019 as the Chief Operating Officer.Prior to leading Bytemark, Eric served as a Vice President for Gannett Fleming and was a member of their Global Transportation Leadership team starting in January 2018. He was the Leader of their Global Transit & Rail Business Development team and was also the Business Executive for the Midwest US and Canadian regions. In this role, he helped define and build strategy for expanding Gannett’s Transit & Rail practice Business Line. Prior to joining Gannett, Eric was responsible for Scheidt & Bachmann’s (S&B) Global Strategy for their Fare Collection group. In that role, Eric led their strategic sales, pursuits and delivery to transit and rail clients around the world. He started at S&B in 2014. Prior to Scheidt & Bachmann, Eric served in various leadership roles with Chicago Transit Authority (starting in 2007), including most recently as Director, Revenue where he oversaw all the CTA’s revenue streams, including Fare Collection, Marketing, Real Estate, Advertising, Business Development, Public Private Partnerships, and others. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Budget Director for the Chicago Park District (2004) and as an Assistant to Mayor Richard M. Daley (2002). He started his career as an early stage employee at a “dot com” named B2P Commerce, the team successfully sold the business in 2001.
